Listening to this recording was interesting. I enjoy guided meditations but I don't think that I've ever listened to one that was specifically focused on redirecting blood flow. It was well timed though! I was coming home to do classwork (including the recording) and found that our 5 month old puppy chewed a large hole in the middle of our carpet. The hole isn't in a location where it can be easily hidden, of course.
Feeling a bit tense after refraining from strangling the dog, I found that the Journey on Relation exercise helped calm me. Rather than remaining 'wound-up,' I found that I actually did feel 'heavy.' It was a bit like becoming part of the sofa. This could come in handy after tense work meetings!
Gotta love our four legged furry kids don't we?!
ReplyDeleteHaving a puppy in the house I have a feeling you may be using this exercise often. I remember when my dog was a puppy... she is now almost 14 years old. She still acts like a puppy at times but can't hear very well anymore, her eyes are fading too, but she is still my baby!
